Hello!

There is so much power within the body of Christ that allows people from all over the world to come together to bring glory to our beloved Savior. The beauty is, that no matter where we are, we are called to have a mission mindset, continually supporting each other in spreading the good news. I am so excited to say that I have a wonderful opportunity to experience international missions alongside the World Race organization. However, it has been a long path and many plans changed that led me to the calling I know only the Lord could have ordained. It is so true when we say, “God laughs at our plans” but how wonderful to have the confidence that His plans are always superior to anything we could have come up with ourselves. Needless to say, this process has made me trust in the Lord more than I ever could have imagined.

Let me take you back to my senior year of high school where I was on the path to becoming an agriculture teacher. I had applied to Iowa State, been accepted, went to orientation, and even had a roommate. I had spent the last four years investing in my agriculture social platform having several leadership positions within the FFA. I was confident I knew what my future would look like. Then God shut all my plans down. For various reasons, including a deep calling into ministry, Iowa State was no longer going to work. So there I was, only a few months until graduation, without a college and completely unsure of anything but the fact that I had to go into some sort of ministry. After discussing my situation with my best friend she suggested that I apply to Austin Community College in Texas and live with my aunt and uncle. This idea seemed absolutely crazy and radically different from my original plan but after applying and being accepted, I told God that I would explore this opportunity until He gave me a clear no.

As things generally are when we submit to God, the transition down to Texas could not have been more easy. I immediately was able to get connected to a church body in Austin and have been given so many opportunities to show people God’s love. During this time, it has become so clear to me that I want to spend the rest of my life in ministry no matter where that might be. Being surrounded by a community of people all set on following Jesus has grown my faith immensely. Very recently, I realized how quickly this first semester I had faithfully said yes, but I realized that in December I would my scholarships would run out and I would no longer have a job. Not sure if I was supposed to stay in Austin or return to Iowa I told God that I would keep pursuing opportunities until He made it a clear yes or no. The same friend who suggested I move to Texas has always talked about the World Race. Well, one night I was talking to my Texas friends about my situation of not knowing what next semester looked like and the World Race came up, as it turns out, one of my Texas friends had recently returned from one of their trips. She encouraged me to look into the semester trips and see if that was a possibility for what I could do next semester. After a lot of prayer, I decided to just go for it. I went through the interview process and got accepted for the South American trip to Ecuador and Colombia. After getting accepted I felt a sense of relief and I knew that this was what I was supposed to do.

I am so thankful for this opportunity to be able to share the Good News with others!!

I would love for y’all to partner with me! Here are three ways you can partner with me:

  1. Donate!
  2. Partner with me in prayer for my trip and my squad!
  3. Share my story!

Once again, THANK YOU!

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

– Matthew 28:19-20
