HEY Y’ALL!!! It has been a week since I came to Gainesville Georgia to start training camp! Let me tell you that training camp has been such a blessing from the Lord! The growth I have seen in myself this week has been so cool, and it is all because of Jesus!
Training camp is filled with sessions, team building, and embracing what is uncomfortable. One of the most impactful things I have learned since being at training camp is that the Bible never refers to a born-again Christian as a sinner. Through Jesus, we are now Saints who struggle with sin, not sinners. Some Bible verses that support this statement are:
Ephesians 1:1 – “Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, To the saints who are in Ephesus and are faithful in Christ Jesus.”
Ephesians 1:18 – “I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called — the saints who are his rich and glorious inheritance.
Ephesians 2:19 – “Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people, the saints, and also members of his household.”
and there is SO much more!
This week, my team focused on unity and learning how to work as a team. Something that my team keeps reminding each other of, is that although we are all different, we have the same thing in common and that is Jesus. “And there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone” (1 Corinthians 12:6). How beautiful is that??
We also have been embracing being uncomfortable. This training camp is preparing us for the field. With that being said, the meals we have been having are sometimes specifically representing different countries. One of the meals that I ate was a jelly and cheese sandwich – ever had that before? I would be very surprised if you did. If you did, did you like it?
Lastly, what God is doing in this season is so wonderful. I am so ready to be able to serve the people in Colombia and Ecuador. Not only be able to serve them but also be able to serve them in the way God intended me and my group to! We leave in less than a week, on the 25th of January and I can not be more than ready! If y’all could be praying for safe travels that would be amazing!!
I am so thankful for all of you guys! and reminder that JESUS LOVES YOU SO MUCH!!!
I’m proud of you & your group!
